
Exterior

The twins have a completely indigenous design that is specifically made for India. Skoda Kushaq and the Volkswagen Taigun are based on the MQB A0 IN platform. The Kushaq gets a large front grille that retains the signature Skoda look whereas the Taigun gets a thinner grille. Both the cars come with LED headlamps with a projector.

The Seltos has an upright and sporty look and is built on the same platform as the new Creta. It has a great road presence, the front has a mid sized grille and a LED daytime running light that runs across the front and it gets 16-inch alloy wheels Whereas the GT line gets crystal cut 17-inch alloy wheels.
Engine


The Kia seltos has two engines on offer, a 1.5-liter engine that makes 113 bhp with both petrol and diesel variants and also a 1.4-liter turbo patrol making 138 bhp. The diesel engine option is an added advantage for the Seltos as more than 50% customers are opting for the diesel variant.
Transmission

The Seltos has a 6 speed manual and in case of automatic the diesel has a 6-speed torque converter gearbox and the petrol can be had with a CVT or DCT gearbox.
Interior

Both the SUVs are yet to be officially unveiled. Not much information is available on the interior of both the SUVs. However, it is expected to have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. In addition to that Taigun will have a panoramic sunroof

Seltos gets a premium all black interior. It has a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment system with 6 speaker setup. In addition, seltos will get a sunroof which is not panoramic.
Price

The twins are expected to be priced between ₹10 Lakh to ₹16 Lakh. Above all, this price will make the SUVs compete with segment leaders like Seltos, Creta and Brezza.

Seltos prices range from 9.89 Lakh to 17.34 Lakh ex-showroom. Moreover, Seltos is the current market leader in the compact SUV segment. We will have to wait till June to see the result of India 2.0 project.
