Mercedes-Benz GLB

Mercedes Benz GLB
As the name indicates, the GLB alphabetically slots itself between the Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLC, but unlike its brethren it offers a third row of seats which allows it to fit 7 passengers whereas the GLA and GLC can only fit 5. However the car did not receive a bump in performance, seeing how the base model sports the same 221HP engine as the Mercedes Benz GLA rated at 258 lb-ft of torque. Among enthusiasts, the B-Class is often referred to as the “Boring” class in the Mercedes lineup. Pricing for the base model starts at $36,600.

Mercedes-Benz GLC

The GLC is a sporty and stylish mid-size SUV and is known for its versatility as it is ideal for the daily commute to the office while also being spacious and comfortable enough for long drives and weekend adventures with the family. The name says it all; the “G” refers to Gelandewagen, “L” stands for Luxury and the “C” refers to the C-Class of cars, coincidentally it is also the most popular car in China. The base model sports a 255HP engine that produces 273 lb-ft of torque. The GLC also comes with the AMG® moniker that starts with an impressive 385HP engine cranking out 384 lb-ft of torque. The GLC also comes in a Hybrid variant with a 315HP from both engines pumping out 516 lb-ft of torque. Pricing for the base model starts at $43,200.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe

The GLC Coupe is not dissimilar to the GLC SUV but it makes certain trade-offs with space in favor of looks and aesthetics, the sloping rear roofline being one of them. Although it looks stunning, it is borderline uncomfortable to sit in the rear passenger seat, especially if you’re taller than average. It does look damn good though. The base model GLC Coupe comes with the same 255HP engine pushing 273 lb-ft torque. The AMG® model of the GLC Coupe starts out with a much powerful 385HP engine that churns out 384 lb-ft of torque. Pricing for the base model starts at $51,650.

Mercedes-Benz GLE

The Mercedes-Benz GLE (formerly known as the ML Class) is known for being the end-all-be-all in the premium SUV market for the past two decades. The mid-sized SUV fits upto 5 passengers with ease while providing good performance on the road with an admirable driving experience. The base model comes with the same 255HP engine as the Mercedes-Benz GLC producing 273 lb-ft torque. The AMG® model of the GLE starts out with a 429HP engine with a torque of 384 lb-ft. Pricing for the base model starts at $54,750.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe

The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe makes the same trade-off as the GLC Coupe did, it reduced the headroom for the rear seat passengers in favor of the stylized sloping rear roofline and it is every bit as uncomfortable as the GLC Coupe is for the rear seat passengers. However, the GLE Coupe more than makes up for it in performance as it comes only in the AMG®  variants, packing a 603HP engine that cranks out a whopping 627 lb-ft of torque. Pricing starts at $76,500.

Mercedes-Benz GLS

The Mercedes-Benz GLS is a full-sized, 7 seater SUV reminds you that you’ve paid a premium every time you sit in it. The spacious interiors, upscale cabin packed with high-end features and amenities make for a very comfortable and enjoyable driving experience for modern families. Much like the S-Class sedans, the GLS is focused more on providing a smooth experience rather than an enthralling one. The base model comes equipped with a 362HP engine that pushes out 369 lb-ft of torque. The AMG®  variant starts with a 603HP engine that produces 627 lb-ft of torque. Pricing for the base model starts at $76,000.

Mercedes-Benz G-Class

The G-Class SUV (popularly known as the G-Wagon) is a no-frills, off-road capable monster of a car that is not meant for the faint-hearted. Gazing from afar, it doesn’t look dissimilar to its predecessor but upon closer inspection you can see the effort the engineers put forward to make it look that way. Hiding the modern elements of the car gives it a rustic charm that seldom ages. The engine however is far from being rustic or old, packing a 416HP beast that spits out 450lb-ft of torque only superseded by its own AMG® variant that starts with a 557HP engine that pushes 627lb-ft of torque. This is definitely a “Big Boy” vehicle. Pricing for the base model starts at $130,900.
