Best service network in India: Customer satisfaction

When you want to buy a car, what are the things you consider? First thing that an Indian buyer thinks of is the price. Most of the buyers purchase their first car based on the price but after sales service is something that will be a long term expense that is ignored. There was a survey by J.D. Power in 2019 that determined the customer satisfaction of different auto manufacturers in India.

Hyundai Motor India

Hyundai creta service network
After their initial success due to the Santro, Hyundai did work hard constantly to launch new models and improve after sales service and currently has second largest car service network in India. Hyundai is the second largest car seller in India and scored the highest 903 points in after-sales customer satisfaction survey.

Tata Motors

Tata safari
Tata Motors is one of the oldest car manufacturers in India and their Indigo and Indica sedan and hatchbacks were very successful. The newest models from Tata are the Tiago, Altroz and Harrier. They are doing well in the market and are one of the safest in the market. Tata has scored 870 points on customer satisfaction index.

Mahindra service network
Mahindra is a known automobile manufacturer in India. Their vehicles have a general reputation of reliability, value for money and safety. Scorpio was the most popular SUV from the brand before XUV 500 became their flagship SUV. Mahindra scored 863 points by J.D. power in the customer satisfaction index.

Japanese company entered India as Toyota Kirloskar in 1997. The brand was established and proved to the Indian market their reputation in terms of reliability. The Altis, Corolla, Etios, Fortuner and Qualis were a great success for the brand. It scored 820 points in the J.D. power when it comes to customer satisfaction index.

Volkswagen India entered India in 2007. The Vento and Polo were two popular models from the brand when it launched. The brand has had a lot of ups and downs in the market and also their German design quality with the ageless design did shine in the market. Volkswagen scored 819 points in the J.D. power survey.

Skoda entered India in 2001. The brand has a lineup of cars that are premium and performance focused. The VW and Skoda group together will be launching two SUVs that are India focused. They will be priced competitively and the brand has a high expectation from the two SUVs. Their brand’s after sales service is a bit on the higher side and that might change with the India focused SUVs that have 92% localized parts.

Maruti Suzuki has the highest car service network in India with over 1600 outlets. Hyundai motors has worked very hard in India and takes second place. The newest entry Kia has well over 125 service networks which is better compared to Skoda that has 74 service centers but it entered in India early 2000s.

In the 2019 J.D. power survey, Hyundai motor has scored the highest points when it comes to customer satisfaction. Tata motors takes second place. Surprisingly Maruti Suzuki with the highest service network takes 7th position when it comes to customer satisfaction.
